Lusia Brzyska encountered painting at a mature age, and from that moment on she was an assiduous, attentive, voracious attendee of art courses. Of Polish nationality and transplanted to Italy, in recent years she has painted with great intensity, putting together a large body of works in her chosen technique: oil. She explored different styles, with a desire to retrace the path of a lifetime (from Milan back to the Tuscan period, and even before that to her Polish origins - which date back to the period before the fall of the wall), reconstructing emotional bonds and offering a map of Europe seen from the East: an idea that was first distant, then grasped with hope or disappointment, relief or fear, but always with great strength.
