Concetto Pozzati ‘60

Archivio Concetto Pozzati

This marks the first project in collaboration with the Concetto Pozzati Archive, and the gallery is honored to renew its joint commitment with the Archive to enhance the presence of the artist in the Italian and international art scene. The gallery's participation in fairs and institutional events, both public and private, aims to continue the work initiated by the master. The gallery exhibition will focus on a body of work from the 1960s, a crucial period for Concetto Pozzati, who participated in the 1964 Venice Biennale and documenta in Kassel, establishing himself as one of the protagonists of Italian Pop Art. The exhibition will also feature some mirror works, appearing in the artist's works from 1967 onwards: silhouettes of pears, tomatoes and human footprints, reflecting ironically on the surrounding space, emphasizing the duality of painting made of fiction and nature, manual skill, and intellectual research, public and private language.
